Sally Lutz

Sally Schoening Lutz passed away July 28, 2019 at Medical Center of the Rockies. She was born October 29, 1952 in Cherokee, Iowa to Glenn G. and C. Maxine (Cover) Shoening. At the age of 7, her family moved to Greeley and she graduated from Greeley West High School in 1971. On September 23, 1973, she married Kenneth Lutz in Greeley. She worked at NCMC in Greeley for 25 years. She enjoyed participating in the Harley Owner’s Group (HOG), loved Santa Fe, Native American art and culture but most enjoyed time with family at gatherings or on vacation. One friend said that being friends with Sally made her a better friend to others. Survivors include her husband, Ken Lutz and her daughters, Sheila and Amanda Lutz; siblings, Sheri (Wayne) Burch, Paul (Laurie) Schoening, sisters-in-law; Zina (Bob Corcoran) Lutz and Joann (Jim) Roos, brother-in-law; Ron (Jody Stephenson) Lutz as well as nieces and nephews and their families and many special friends. She was preceded in death by her parents and a brother, David Richardson. Visitation will be held from 6-8 p.m. Thursday, August 1 at Adamson with a Life Celebration Service 2 p.m. Friday, August 2 at the First United Methodist Church, Greeley with a reception to follow. Private family inurnment will be held at Resthaven Memory Gardens at a later date.
