Sallymae Rose Bovat
February 27th, 1940 - February 5th, 2023
Three Rivers- Sallymae Rose Bovat, 82, passed away February 5, 2023. She was born on February 27, 1940 in Palmer the daughter of the late Casimir and Mary (Polczwartek) Gurski. Sallymae worked at the Monson Developmental Center for a few years until her retirement at which time she moved to Florida. Above all else, she loved coming home to Massachusetts and spending time with her family. Sallymae eventually moved into her son Wayne’s home and enjoyed being surrounded by her son Troy and grandchildren Wayne Jr & Sarah along with her great grandchildren. Her hobbies included Bingo and crocheting and mall walking. She leaves her husband of 40 years Duane Bovat, and her sons, Randy Schofield of Palmer, Wayne Schofield, and Troy Schofield of Three Rivers. She also leaves her step-children, Deborah Blair and husband Lyman of West Yarmouth, Sandra Bellmar and husband Robert of Yarmouth Port, Steven Bovat and wife Sandra of Sandwich, and Tammy Lapierre and fiance Fred King of Worcester, as well as 12 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren. Sallymae will also be greatly missed by her sisters’ & brothers: Dottie (Edwin) Szczetanik, Casimir (Ginger) Gurski all of Ware, Florence Bacon of Brimfield, Roselyn Noble of Monson, George (Patricia) Gurski of Oregon, Kathy (Richard) Cadieux of New York, and William (Maria) Kusha of San Diego. Services will be held at the family's convenience. In lieu of flowers, donations in Sallymae's memory can be made to St. Jude Children's Hospital by visiting www.stjude.org.
