Salomon Sanchez

Salomon “Mon” Sanchez, 96, a resident of North San Ysidro, went home to be with the Lord on March 13, 2024. He was born on September 16, 1927, in Magdalena, NM to Francisquita Abeyta and Abran Sanchez. He worked as an Albuquerque city bus driver, Maloof truck driver, Sheepherder, and owned his own gas station. He was a hardworking, and free-spirited man who will be deeply missed. Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers, Antonio, Manuel, and Ricardo Sanchez; sisters Lorenza Milligan, Lugarda Saiz, and Mariana Martinez; grandson Elijah “Lijah” Sanchez; great grandbaby Diego Sanchez Aguirre; son in law Augustine Gonzales. He is survived by the mother of his children Valentina Gallegos; his sons Martin Sanchez (Mickey) and Rick Sanchez Sr (Michelle); daughter Chepa Gallegos; stepson Joseph Gallegos, and stepdaughter Maxine; grandchildren Clarence Sanchez Sr (Jeanell), Linda Sanchez (David), Rick “Ricky” Sanchez Jr; Natalya Sanchez, Raynaldo Gonzales, and Natalia (Nestor); great grandchildren Angelique Sanchez, Clarence Sanchez Jr, Linda “Bubbas” Sanchez, Jeremiah Aguirre, Elijah Aguirre, Aaliyah Aguirre, Elisabeth Sanchez, Isaiah Sanchez, Faith Sanchez, and Matthew Sanchez; great-great grandbaby his one and only Zia Marie Perea; numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. All services will be held at San Ysidro Labrador Catholic Church in North San Ysidro on Tuesday, March 26, 2024. Beginning with a Viewing at 10:45 a.m. Rosary, and Mass to follow. The interment following at North San Ysidro Cemetery with the following serving as pallbearers; Clarence Sr, Clarence Jr, David, Jeremiah, Elijah, Raynaldo, and Rick “Ricky” Jr; honorary pallbearers Linda, Aaliyah, Jeanell, Angelique, Linda “Bubbas”, Elisabeth, Isaiah, and Natalya.
