Sam Contreras

Samuel (Sam) Contreras passed on Wednesday, January 19, 2022. He died at home peacefully in his sleep, at the age of 94. He is survived by his wife, Veronica Contreras and their children, Daniel Contreras and his wife Melva, Daniel Palomares, Henry Sandoval and his wife Rafaela, Rudy Ceballos and his wife Marilu, Deanna Ceballos, Veronica Espinosa and her husband David, Maria Santiago and her husband Juan and their many grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his daughter Susana Duran, granddaughter Jessica Duran Palmer, and his stepson Roy Gene Ceballos. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, camping, traveling, and his family. A Rosary will be held at 10 a.m., Friday March 4th, 2022 at Riverside Funeral Home, 225 San Mateo Blvd. NE, Albuquerque, NM 87108. A memorial mass will be held at Santuario de San Martin de Porres Catholic Church at 8301 Camino San Martin SW, Albuquerque, NM 87121. The family will hold a reception following the mass.
