Samantha Devers

Samantha Devers, age 24, passed away on Monday, August 3, 2015 in Memphis, Tennessee. She was the beloved daughter of Malcolm Devers and Margaret “Peggy” Voight and step daughter of Lou Ann Devers and Donald Voight. She is survived by many loving aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. It is hard to understand how such a wonderful young life can be taken so soon. In such a short time Samantha touch so many lives in a profoundly positive way. Samantha was an excellent student, she attended Congressional Schools of Virginia, Oakcrest School, and then Virginia Commonwealth University in Richmond, Virginia. While attending classes and on summer break Samantha worked as a camp counselor and lifeguard. And while at VCU she was a professional nanny. The children and parents loved her. It is hard to put into words how much Samantha was loved and the lasting effect she had, and will always have on the family and friends that love her so very much. A funeral service will be held on Monday August 10, 2015 at Advent Funeral Services at 11 AM.
