Samantha Marie Gomez, 19, of Nipomo, passed away unexpectedly from a brief illness on October 18, 2010 in Santa Maria, CA. She was born December 31, 1990 in El Centro, CA. Samantha was a very caring and giving person. She is survived by her Mother Cynthia Serrano of Nipomo, former long-time resident of Gonzales Step-Father Roger Morales of Gonzales Grandfather Gus (Kim) Savala of Imperial Grandmother Linda (Mike) Rualizo of Gonzales Brothers Javier and Daniel Serrano of Gonzales Visitation was held Monday, Oct. 25 1-9pm at Healey Mortuary in Salinas. Visitation will also be held on Tuesday, Oct. 26 5-9pm with Rosary recitial at 7pm all at St.Theodore's Catholic Church located at 125 Center St. in Gonzales. Funeral Mass will be on Wednesday, Oct. 27 10am at St. Theodore's Catholic Church. Final Resting Place at Gonzales District Cemetery Hwy 101 South Gonzales, CA 93926.

Healey hoped to find a way to continue to meaningfully help his county and community grow. He and his wife founded Salinas Valley Mortuary in 1956 to help serve the families in the Salinas Valley area. Their lifelong mission was to unselfishly serve area families based on their strong, trusting relationship with their community – something we honor to this day almost seven decades years later....
