March 5th, 1927 - October 3rd, 2012
Samuel Morris Groner, age 85, of North Las Vegas, Nevada, died October 3, 2012. Sam was born March 5, 1927, in Chicago, Illinois, to the late Charles and the late Anne (Rothbart) Groner. Sam served in the Army during World War II and was a proud member of the Jewish War Veterans Post #64 in Las Vegas. He was a podiatrist in Chhicago and Skokie, Illinois. Sam is survived by his wife, Helen Groner, sons Burt Groner of Las Vegas and Sheldon, "Shelly" (Beth) Groner of Clifton Virginia; grandchildren Alexander and Brady Groner of Clifton, Virginia; and brother, Joseph (Sue) Groner of Northbrook, Illinois. A graveside service will be held at 1:00PM on Sunday, October 7, 2012, at Shalom Memorial Park in Arlington Heights, Illinois. In lieu of flowers, contributions in Sam's memory may be made to the Jewish War Veterans Murray L. Rosen Post #64, c/o S. Rose, 2521 Sierra Sage St., Las Vegas, Nevada 89134.
