September 30th, 1930 - March 8th, 2016
Samuel Hoffman, age 85, of Las Vegas, died Tuesday, March 8, 2016. Samuel was born September 30, 1930 in Brooklyn NY to the late Ralph and the late Hannah Hoffman. Samuel served in the Air Force and had a career as a purchasing manager in the shipping industry. He was an avid reader and loved to tell jokes. He enjoyed following all types of sports, especially the Mets, Rangers, Giants and his all-time favorite, the Brooklyn Dodgers. Samuel is survived by his sons Steven (Roberta) Hoffman and Richard (Janet) Hoffman; and grandchildren Scott (Shana) Hoffman and Nikki Hoffman. A funeral service will be held at 9:20 AM on Friday, March 11, 2016 at the Southern Nevada Veteran's Memorial Cemetery, 1900 Veterans Memorial Drive, Boulder City, NV. Contributions in Samuel's memory may be made to the American Cancer Society.
