Samuel Midas Jennings

Samuel Midas Jennings, 41, of Kingsport passed away on December 24, 2018 at Holston Valley Medical Center following a lengthy illness. Sam was a graduate of Sullivan North High School and a member of the Bloomingdale community. Sam was a member of Kingsport First Assembly of God. He was an avid musician and outdoorsman and enjoyed playing, singing, hunting, and fishing. Sam was a loving husband, father, and devoted friend who will be greatly missed by all who knew him. Sam is preceded in death by his parents, Frederick and Charlene Jennings. Survivors include his loving wife of 7 years, Vicki Jennings; daughters, Kaylee Anne Jennings, and Jayden Brooke Jennings; son, Skyler Ashton Jennings; children by marriage, Stacey Nicole and William Tyler; grandchildren, Lennon, Draven, and Rylee Anne; sisters, Martha Lewis, Laura Hatt, Tammy Flanagan, Mary Jennings Cross, and Dawn Burkhardt; brothers, James Jennings, Joel Jennings, and John Harvey; along with several nieces, nephews, and a host of friends and extended family. The family will receive friends from 5pm to 7pm on Saturday, December 29, 2018 at Carter-Trent Funeral Home downtown, Kingsport. A celebration of life service will follow at 7pm. Carter-Trent Funeral Home downtown, Kingsport is serving the Jennings family.
