Samuel Robert Lewis
August 6th, 1931 - January 2nd, 2020
Samuel Robert Lewis born August 6, 1931 was called home to be with his Lord and Savior January 2, 2020. He is survived by his wife, Jessie, and 3 children, David (Phanh) Lewis, Marci (Jeff) Rust, Brad (Kathi) Lewis. Sam and Jessie have 8 grandchildren, Nicole Sheffler, Jacob Rust, Rachel Rust, Emily Bardawil, Zach Lewis, Amanda Kruger, Sam Lewis, Jasmine Ellsworth and 7 great grandchildren Jack and Julia Sheffler, Hannah and Mary Rust, Leila Bardawil, Carys Lewis, and Kai Ellsworth. Sam graduated from Queen Ann High School in 1951 then joined the Navy 1951-1955 and was honorably discharged. He graduated from the University of Washington December 1961 as a Mechanical Engineer. He retired as Nuclear Engineer from Puget Sound Naval Shipyard in 1995. There will be a graveside service Thursday January 9, 2020 at 12:30 at Tahoma National Cemetery. A memorial service will be held at Calvary Baptist Church in Bremerton Washington at 2:30 January 10, 2020. Address 4042 Kitty Hawk Dr. Bremerton, Washington. Sam was a wonderful husband and father. He enjoyed hiking, fishing, and skiing with his family.
