Sanda Ann Eckhart
April 12th, 1941 - December 6th, 2014
Sandra Ann Fodor Eckhart passed away in her family home on December 6, 2014, with her husband Richard, her brother Jim Fodor, Jr. of Buffalo, New York and long time friend Rose Clark at her side. Sandra was born in Buffalo, New York to the late James Fodor and Frances Kaminski Fodor of Buffalo. Sandra graduated from West Seneca Central Buffalo in 1959. She was a postulant with the Sisters of Mercy Convent in Buffalo. In time she left the convent for the skies of United Airlines and became a flight attendant. Sandra then moved to San Diego to attend the University of San Diego. She moved to Aptos, California and attended the University of California Santa Cruz. Through a mutual friend she met Richard. They found enjoyment in the arts together. Sandra, an artist and poet, and Richard, a musician, married and settled in San Benancio Canyon in 1979. She was a member of the Monterey Peninsula Art Foundation, Pacific Grove Art Center and Monterey Museum of Art. Sandra loved nature, photographing flowers and spectacular sunsets. In addition to her husband and brother, she is survived by three stepdaughters, Erin Boscaglia of Anaheim, Shawn Peterson of San Diego and Tricia Henry of Glendale, as well as her niece Cassie Vaughan and her nephew Derek Fodor of Buffalo. A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, January 24, 2015 at 11:00 a.m. at All Saints Episcopal Church, Dolores and 9th Avenue in Carmel. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in the name of Sandra Eckhart to the Sisters of Mercy, 625 Abbott Road, Buffalo, New York, 14220

Healey hoped to find a way to continue to meaningfully help his county and community grow. He and his wife founded Salinas Valley Mortuary in 1956 to help serve the families in the Salinas Valley area. Their lifelong mission was to unselfishly serve area families based on their strong, trusting relationship with their community – something we honor to this day almost seven decades years later....
