Sandra Gibson

Sandra (Sandy) Coates Gibson, age 73, passed on Sunday, October 24. Born in Miami, Florida to Vivian J Coates and Robert B Coates on December 18, 1947. She was married and resided in Seminole, Florida over 60 years in Pinellas County. Survived by Husband Jim Gibson, daughter Tara Wheeldon, 2 grand daughters Morgan Wheeldon, Makena Wheeldon. Brother Michael Coates and his wife Dee Coates, nephew Marshall Lowe. Sandy graduated from Boca Ciega High School, continuing her education at SPJC (St Pete Junior College) and into the University of Florida where she was member of Tri Delta Sorority. She had a successful career in Treasury Management at Bank of Seminole then ending her career at South East Bank. She enjoyed spending time with family, her grand daughters and many friends. She had a knack for gardening and had a GREAT love for animals. She spread her love to animals by providing continued life for many pets from numerous animal shelters. Sandy passed in the comfort of her home with family by her side. In lieu of flowers on her behalf she wanted contributions to a local SPCA or Florida all Retriever rescue. She will always be remembered for her beautiful smile, charming spirit and strong determination by all that knew her.
