Sandra Ann Kerr

Sandra Ann Kerr, 79, of Mission, Texas, passed away on December 15, 2020 in Greeley, Colorado. She was born to Vern and Mabel (Kirby) Apple on February 21, 1941 in Pueblo, Colorado. She attended Crowley schools until her senior year, where she graduated from Manzanola High School. After high school, she married Guy Kerr on July 19, 1959. Sandra and Guy moved out of Crowley in 1979 with the closing of the Rocky Ford American Crystal Sugar factory. They then made their home in Hillsboro, North Dakota for 20 years, where Sandra was the Hillsboro Elementary School Secretary before retiring with Guy to Texas in 1997. Sandra was an avid sports fan, supporting her three boys as they competed throughout their school and college years. She was well-known as the official scorekeeper for Babe Ruth Baseball at the local and state levels for Colorado. She very much enjoyed traveling and living with her husband Guy in their motor home. They traveled for several years between Minnesota and Texas before settling permanently in the warm southern Texas sun. She enjoyed crossword puzzles, volunteering at the local high school and having morning coffee chats with friends. She adored her cats and other animals in her life. Above all, she loved her growing family. Sandra is survived by her husband Guy of 60+ years; children, James (Jennifer) Kerr of Greeley, Colorado, Kirby (Carolyn) Kerr of Ada, Oklahoma, Kevin (Renae) Kerr of Mandan, North Dakota; grandchildren, Kaylee Kerr, Andrew Kerr, Karlee (George) Hill, Steven (Allysen) Kerr, Kreg Kerr, Aubrey Kerr, Colin Kerr; 4 great grandchildren with one on the way. She was preceded in death by her parents and brother, Jerry M. Apple.
