Sandra King Bloodworth passed away in the early morning hours of Tuesday, November 7, 2023. A funeral service will be held Monday, November 13, 2023 at 11 AM. A visitation will take place one hour prior to the service, between the hours of 10 AM and 11 AM. Entombment will immediately follow the service at Parkway Memorial Gardens Mausoleum. Mrs. Bloodworth was born March 9, 1938 in Macon, Georgia. She was a faithful member of Shirley Hills Baptist Church and Don Black's Sunday School class. She retired from Robins Air Force base after 35 years of dedicated service. After retirement, she volunteered with Meals on Wheels and Heart of Georgia Hospice. She is preceded in death by her beloved husband of 65 years, Homer Bloodworth; brother, Ronald King and sister, Sarolyn Adams. She is survived by her daughter, Debra (Steve) Glass of Tallahassee, Florida; son, Mike (Janice) Bloodworth of Kathleen, Georgia; seven grandchildren: Alex (Kristin) Glass, Zack (Katya) Glass, Drew (Jackie) Glass, Jordie (Logan) Holland, Janna (Josh) Sinclair, Phillip Bloodworth, and Morgan (Justin) Tapia; and 12 great grandchildren. In lieu of flowers, the family respectfully requests donations be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
