Sandra O'Dell McCoy, (85), of Indian Harbour Beach, passed away January 8, 2017, at Zon Beachside. Sandra was born March 17, 1931 in Easley, S.C. She and her husband Gene moved to Brevard Country in 1960, living in Titusville, Satellite Beach and then Indian Harbour Beach. Sandra was a member of the Satellite Beach United Methodist Church and a life time member of the Beta Sigma Phi Sorority. During her 25-year working career Sandra was with Lockheed Corp., Melbourne High School, St. John's Episcopal Church, Florida Houseboat Rentals, and Florida Institute of Technology where she retired as an Administrative Assistant. She also served as a Girl Scout Leader, Den Mother, and Cub Scout Leader while her three children were growing up. Sandra and her husband, Gene, enjoyed many travels within most of the United States and many countries abroad. She is survived by her husband, Hugh Eugene McCoy Jr. (Gene), and three children; Sandra Jean McCoy, Susan Elaine (George) Allred, Hugh "Skipper" Eugene (Carole) McCoy III; 4 grandchildren, Connor Hugh Eugene McCoy IV, Killian Quinn McCoy, George Allred III and Kathleen Allred; and 4 great grandchildren, Dayna Ladd, Caitlyn Ladd, Lauryn Allred and Madalyn Mason. A memorial service will be held January 14th at 11:00am at the Satellite Beach Methodist Church. In lieu of flowers the family requests donations to Satellite Beach Methodist Church.
