Mementos

On September 7, 2023, Sandra Kay Pierpont (Sandy), passed away peacefully and went home to be with the Lord and her loved ones. Sandy is loved by many and will truly be missed. Her memory will carry on for years to come. Sandy was born to Albert and Betty Morgan on October 7, 1943, in Danville, IL. They later moved to California, where she attended school and met and married her first husband, Jimmie Goforth, and had her oldest son, Jimmie Dale Goforth Jr. Her second husband and the love of her life, Gene (Eugene) Pierpont, were married on February 14th, his birthday and Valentine’s Day. Sandy and Gene had one son together, Christopher Pierpont. Sandy also had bonus children from this marriage: a son George and a daughter Kathryn. Sandy and Gene later moved to Mountain Home, Idaho. Sandy and Gene loved to go fishing, camping, and spending time with friends and their kids. In March of 1995, she lost Gene to a long battle with cancer. She lived on, worked a few jobs that she enjoyed, and met many friends along her journey. Sandy had her grandsons who were her world. There was nothing she wouldn’t do for those boys, and it went both ways; they loved her so much. She was indeed a one-of-a-kind woman who showed so much strength and love throughout her life. She always said when it was her time to go, she wanted to go peacefully, well mama Sandy you were granted your last wish. You will truly be missed. She was a wonderful wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend. We all were blessed to be a part of your journey. Sandy is survived by her brother George (wife Tina) Morgan of Sonora, California, Rick Morgan of Salmon, Idaho, and her sister Karen (husband Bob) Logan of Mountain Home, grandson Gavin Pierpont of Mountain Home, grandson Garrett (wife Stephanie) Pierpont of Mountain Home, grandson Graison Pierpont of Mountain Home and bonus grandson Cody Lewis of Arlington, WA and many nieces and nephews, and friends that became family. Sandy is preceded in death by her mother, Betty Morgan; father, Al Morgan; husband, Gene Pierpont; son, Jimmie Dale Goforth Jr.; son, Christopher Pierpont; daughter-in-law, Christine Pierpont and nephew, Robert Logan Jr. There will be a celebration of life for Sandy on October 7th, 2023, from 2 pm-5 pm at The Senior Center, located at 1000 N. 3rd E St. Mountain Home, ID 83647.

We Entrusted Sandra Pierpont's Care To

Rost Funeral Home

As the only funeral home in Elmore County, the staff at Rost Funeral Home work hard to be active members of the Mountain Home community and to be there to take care of families in every way possible when the need arises. Our funeral home opened in 2005 when Jerry and Janette Rost purchased the business. We’ve continued to grow along with Mountain Home. Jerry’s career began more than fifty years ago in Boise, and along the way, he acquired an 1897 horse-drawn funeral carriage, which we proudly display in our facility....
