Sandra J. Quill

Sandra J. Quill, 71, of State Highway 30A, passed away unexpectedly on Sunday morning at her home. Born August 12, 1941 in Charleston, New York, she was the daughter of the late Paul and Frieda Montayne Bowdish. She lived most of her life in the Town of Charleston and was a graduate of the Fonda- Fultonville High School. Sandra worked for the Kassen & Keller Company in Fonda shortly after her graduation and she went on to raise a wonderful family. She was a devoted homemaker, loved to cook and you could never just stop by her home without being fed with some of the most wonderful home cooking. On May 7, 1960 she married Frank M. Quill. Besides being survived by her husband of 51 years of marriage, she is survived by three sons, Patrick Allen Quill Patti and their children Stephanie Quill Miller and her daughter Savannah great grandchild, Kyle Quill, Emily Quill and Joshua Quill; a son, Paul James Quill Beth and their children, Lindsay Quill, Mathew Quill, Nicholas Bandy, Alley Pokrywka and Kate Pokrywka Becker Tanner; a son Joseph Frank Quill Robbien and their children Nicholas Quill and Melanie Quill; five siblings, John Bowdish Vicky, Silvia Bowdish Wojick Merril, Floyd Bowdish Dorothy, Marlene Bowdish Smith Lee and George Bowdish Debbie; and several nieces, nephews and cousins. Sandra was predeceased by a sister, Nancy Bowdish Keyfauver. Calling hours will be held on Wednesday from 4 to 7 PM at the Jackson & Betz Funeral Home, 15 Main Street, Fultonville, NY. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, September 27, 2012, at 11:00 AM at the funeral home, with the Pastor Kenneth Dingman and Sandra's son Patrick Quill officiating. Graveside service and burial will take place in the Esperance Cemetery. Family will receive friends and loved ones at Jim's Irish Harbour banquet room in Canajoharie NY for a meal and to celebrate Sandra's life, following graveside service.
