Sandra Jean Songer

Sandra Jean Songer, 64, of Ocala, passed away on Saturday, June 24, 2023, at E.W. & Lucille Cates House Hospice in Ocala, Florida. She was born February 3, 1959, to Richard Bruce Songer and Barbara Jean (Pickering) Songer in Trenton, Michigan. Sandra attended the University of Michigan Business School and worked as a bookkeeper and accountant. She enjoyed many activities which included playing volleyball, pickle ball, swimming, traveling, bowling, bingo, and dancing. Sandra was preceded in death by her father; Richard Bruce Songer. Sandra is survived by her mother, Barbara Jean Songer of Ocala, Florida; children, sons Robert (Haile) Ratliff and their son, Tripp Ratliff of Gainesville, Florida and Michael Ratliff of Columbia, Kentucky; daughter Amanda Ratliff of Lutz, Florida, and sisters, Sheri Fastbinder (Marc) of Ocala, Florida; Suzanne Alder (John) of Milford, Michigan; Sally Cottam (Christopher) of Northville, Michigan; one brother, Daniel Songer of Ocala, Florida and her life companion, Robert Geesler of Ocala, Florida. A visitation be held on Thursday, June 29, 2023, from 5:00PM to 7:00PM at Hiers-Baxley Funeral Services TimberRidge, 9695 SW 110th Street, Ocala, Fl 34481. Funeral service will take place on Friday, June 30, 2023, at Queen of Peace Catholic Church, 6455 SW State Road 200, Ocala, Fl 34476 beginning at 08:30AM. Interment will follow at Good Shepherd Memorial Gardens, 5050 SW 20th Street, Ocala, Fl 34474.
