December 3rd, 1945 - September 29th, 2013
Sara Anciso Guzman, 67, passed away Sunday, September 29, 2013, surrounded by her loving family. Born December 3, 1945 in Mercedes, TX, Sara lived in Salinas for the past 40 years. Sara retired from the Alisal School District Food Service Department. She is survived by her loving husband, Paulino Guzman Sr.; her children, Eugenia (Gilbert) Garcia, Belinda (Danny) Andrade, Maria (Joe) Cambunga, and Paulino (Edna) Guzman Jr.; her siblings, Juanita Navarro, Robert Anciso, and Oscar Anciso. Sara also leaves her 15 grandchildren, and 28 great-grandchildren. Visitation will be held Thursday, October 3, 2013 from 1 to 9 p.m., at the Healey Mortuary, 405 N. Sanborn Road, Salinas, CA 93905. The Rosary will be said at the Mortuary Chapel Thursday at 7:00 p.m. A Funeral Mass will be held at 10 a.m. Friday, October 4, 2013, at St. Mary of the Nativity Church, 424 Towt St., Salinas. Burial will follow in the Queen of Heaven Cemetery, 18200 Damian Way, Salinas, CA 93907.

He and his wife founded Salinas Valley Mortuary in 1956 to help serve the families in the Salinas Valley area. Their lifelong mission was to unselfishly serve area families based on their strong, trusting relationship with their community – something we honor to this day almost seven decades years later....
