Mrs. Kramer, 87, of Charlotte died Friday December 7, 2012, at Huntersville Oak Nursing Home in Huntersville, NC. Sara was born May 30, 1925, a daughter of the late Norris ?Peck? Myers and Mary Kathrine ?Kate? Hoover Myers. She was retired from the Steak Palace Restaurant and Delmar Studios. Sara was an active member of Resurrection Lutheran Church for many years and after moving to Huntersville Oaks was active in the Ila Robinette Sunday school class. Mrs. Kramer enjoyed entertaining the residents there and was an active voice for those that could not speak for themselves. She loved gardening and taking care of her family and especially spending time with her granddaughters. In addition to her parents Mrs. Kramer was preceded in death by her husband, Nelson, an infant daughter; brother, Norris ?Sonny? Edward Myers, Jr. and sisters, Elizabeth Wilson, Lydia Raup and Edna Stepp. Survivors include her daughter, Desna Kramer Hopkins and husband, Jim; beloved granddaughters, Hannah and Sarah Eckard, Haily Hopkins Kemper and husband, Brad; grandson, Harrison Hopkins; sister, Edith Tressler and husband, Elmer and special sister-in-law, Margaret Myers and many nephews and nieces. The family would like to thank Dr. John Gambino, Beth Pinska, PA and the nurses and staff of Huntersville Oaks for their compassionate care and support. A service to celebrate the life of Mrs. Kramer will be held 4:00 PM Tuesday, December 11, 2012, at Resurrection Lutheran Church. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service. In lieu of flowers the family requests that memorials be made to Resurrection Lutheran Church, 2940 Commonwealth Avenue, Charlotte, NC 28205.
