Sara Graham Martin
May 3rd, 1938 - May 30th, 2023
Sara Graham Martin died peacefully at home with her family May 30, 2023. Sara was born May 3, 1938, to William “Willie” Graham and Sarah “Bertha” Graham in Manning South Carolina. Sara had three brothers Charles (Mary) Graham, Watson (Ruth) Graham and Patton (Priscilla) Graham. Sara often spoke of her fond memories growing up on the Santee Cooper Dam with her parents and brothers. They enjoyed fishing, swimming and many other activities. Sara married William C “Billy” Martin jr, February 17, 1961. Together they had 3 children William “Andy” Martin (Tootsie) of Eutawville, Pamela Slice (David) of Chapin and Richard Martin (Jackie) of Eutawville. Sara had 3 grandchildren she loved dearly Kendall (Tyler) Martin of Reevesville, Jayley Martin of Harleyville and James Martin of Eutawville. Sara always had a smile when thinking and talking about her grandchildren. Sara cherished and treasured all her family. Sara loved spending time and sharing memories of her nieces and nephews Alice Welch, Tad Graham, Tod Graham, Jonathan Graham, Cathy Ott, and Tammy Johnson. Sara will be missed by her family, friends, community and all who knew her. Sara never met a stranger. She always had a smile, kind and encouraging word for everyone she spoke too. Sara was an active member of the Eutawville United Methodist Church. Sara loved serving the church when she was able. Most importantly Sara loved God with her whole heart. Sara found great comfort reading her bible and spending time with Jesus. Sara’s prayer warrior heart will be missed, by all. Sara was preceded in death by her husband Billy Martin, her parents, bother Charles and nephew “little” Watson Graham. A Memorial Service will be held to honor Sara, on Saturday June 3 at 11am at the Eutawville United Methodist Church, with Rev. Dave Field and Tommy Wolpert officiating. The family is grateful for the love, kindness, prayers during this time.
