Sara Nell Watkins
June 12th, 1946 - August 2nd, 2024
Sara Nell Watkins, 78, wife of Jerry Watkins, passed away on August 2, 2024 in Frankfort. Sara was born in Lexington, Kentucky on June 12, 1946 to the late Lowell Treadway and Verna Chapman Treadway. Sara worked in vocational rehabilitation with the state for many years. She loved spending her time cooking, sewing, and making beautiful floral arrangements and wreaths. She was also a big music lover and enjoyed traveling whenever she could. Above all Sara loved her family and will be greatly missed by all who knew her.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by her daughter, Ashley (Patrick) Sullivan; sister, Mary (Billy Isaacs) Treadway; and grandson, Jackson Sullivan.
Sara was preceded in death by her parents.
A visitation will be held on Saturday, August 10, 2024 from 11am-12pm at Clark Legacy Center-Brannon Crossing, Nicholasville. The funeral service will begin at 12pm with a reception following until 3pm at the funeral home.
Memorial contributions may be made in honor of Mrs. Sara Watkins to the Kentucky Homeplace.
