Sarah Beth Claeys was a cherished mother, daughter, sister, fiancé, and friend who brightened the lives of everyone that knew her. She was smart, loving, kind, and an inspiration to all of those that were fortunate enough to know her.

Born alongside her twin sister, Rebecca, Sarah spent her early years in Waldorf, Maryland, before her family relocated to Guantanamo Bay, Cuba, and eventually settled in Florida. She graduated from Orange Park High School and the University of Central Florida, embarking on a successful career in financial technology where her dedication, intellect, and integrity propelled her into several leadership roles.

Sarah's beautiful smile, gentle spirit and compassionate nature immediately endeared her to everyone that she met. She was an avid lover of the outdoors, traveling, music, literature, yoga, and the arts, and she enjoyed writing poetry and guiding others towards inner peace.

On June 11, after a courageous battle with cancer, Sarah passed away peacefully at her home in Indiatlantic, Florida, surrounded by loved ones. She was preceded in death by her father, Steve, and her brother, Jason. Sarah is survived by her beloved children, Evan and Ava Claeys, her fiancé Jason Tanaka, her brother, Dennis and his wife Kelly Johnson, her sister, Rebecca Ross, her sister Katie and her husband Dexter Hankins, her sister Rachel and her husband Paul Durant, and her sister Denise and her husband Michael Madden.

Sarah's Celebration of Life Service will be held at 1:30 p.m. on June 29, 2024, at the Legacy Lodge located at the Hardage-Giddens Oaklawn Cemetery, 4801 San Jose Blvd., Jacksonville, Florida 32207.

Sarah's legacy and spirit will continue to live on and to shine brightly in all of our hearts.
