Sarah Louise Dunagan, 83, of Salinas, passed away Tuesday, Jan. 5, 2016. She was born Sept. 24, 1932, in Crawford County, AR. Sarah met her husband, Marvin, while he was stationed at Fort Ord and they married Oct. 27, 1952. They first attended the Pentecostal Tabernacle, were long time members of the Pentecostal Pink Church and Echoes from Calvary, making lifelong friends. She helped to establish the library at the Pink Church. Sarah loved attending church, listening to gospel music, doing puzzles and being a wife, mother and homemaker. She is survived by son, Ron (Sheri) Dunagan of Vancouver, WA; daughter, Charlene (Rod) Clark of Salinas; grandchildren, Garren (Malissa) Dunagan of Vancouver, WA, Jordan Clark of Salinas, Ryan Clark of Olympia, WA, Collin (Hannah) Dunagan of Hillsboro, OR, and Dillon Dunagan, Lauren Dunagan, Kennan Dunagan of Vancouver, WA; great-grandchildren, Adelaide and Isaiah Dunagan; and loving sister, Treva (Dale) McIntire of Salinas, along with numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband of 56 years, Marvin Dunagan in 2009; son, Jeffery Dunagan in 1992; and siblings, Sybil Bray, Joe Bennett, and A.J. Bennett. We would like to thank all of the staff from Brookdale for their care of mom; along with her loving home caregivers, Janis, Silvia, Jordan, Pat, Linda and others. We would especially like to thank Dale and Treva McIntire for their unwavering love and support of mom these last several years. We truly appreciate everything they have done. Visitation will be held from 1 to 9 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 12, 2016, at Healey Mortuary, 405 N. Sanborn Rd., Salinas, CA 93905. Private Graveside service will be held Wednesday, Jan. 13, 2016, at Queen of Heaven Cemetery, 18200 Damian Way, Salinas, CA 93907.
