Sarah K. Havens

NA Sararh K. Havens Sarah Kathryn (Grafious) Havens Age 67, passed away at her home in Olympia, Washington on December 13th, 2011 after a long illness. She was born in Spokane, Washington on June 1st, 1944 to Louis and Mary (Smith) Grafious. Sarah graduated from Cheney High School in 1962, and then graduated from the University of Washington with a degree in Justice. She worked in banking, real estate, and for D.S.H.S and the Washington State Game Department as a Land Agent. Sarah met the true love of her life, John Havens, in 1978, and they married in 1984. They lived in Lacey and spent their years cattle ranching, farming, gardening, traveling in their motor home, boating on the Puget Sound, running various businesses, and spending time with family and friends. Her beloved John passed away at their home in 2006. She was also preceded in death by her father Louis Grafious, brother Rob Grafious, and brother in-law Harry Wirth. Sarah was an avid reader, loved being in the outdoors, cooking for family and friends, and loved animals. She cared for numerous dogs, cats, horses, and birds. Sarah is survived by her mother Mary (Smith) Grafious of Seattle, her sister Judith Wirth, and brother Phil (Judith) Grafious. She had 4 nephews and 1 niece, and 10 great-nephews and great-nieces. Sarah was a caring, loving, hard-working and dedicated wife, daughter, sister, aunt, and friend, and she will be greatly missed by all who loved her. Memorial contributions can be made in her name to the Olympia Union Gospel Mission. A memorial service will be held at 1:30pm on February 18, 2012 at the Abigail Stuart House, 1002 Washington Street SE, Olympia, Washington.
