Sally Higgins passed away suddenly & unexpectedly at the age of 84 on Sunday, November 8th while recovering from orthopedic surgery. Sally is survived by her children Karen & Jay and their families. Sally retired in 1993 following a 35 year career at TUSD as a teacher, coach, counselor & administrator. Sally was born in Springfield, MO and has been resident of Tucson for the last 65 years. She was an excellent cook, had many various hobbies over the years due to her endless curiosity, and was warm and welcoming to all. Sally’s family and all who knew her will greatly miss her sense of fun, endless optimism and good humor. A private burial will be held this Friday, November 13th. A memorial will be held at a later date due to Covid concerns. Donations in Sally’s memory can be made to the Humane Society, The Community Food Bank , or the charity of your choice.
