Saramae Jennings
March 11th, 1925 - March 8th, 2013
Our Mother, Grandmother, Great Grandmother, Sister, Aunt, and friend returned to her Heavenly Father and to be reunited with her husband on the 8th of March, 2013. She lived a good life for 88 years and was surrounded by family at the time of her departure. Funeral Services will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday the 23rd at The Fruitland LDS Chapel. A viewing will be held from 10-10:45 a.m., prior to the services. Condolences may be made to Saramae's family at www.shaffer-jensenchapel.com. Saramae was born on the 7th of February, 1925, to Arthur James Stearns and Mabel (Meharg) Stearns in Boise, Idaho. She married William Raymond Jennings on the 28th of April, 1946 in Boise. She is the mother of eight children and is survived by them all. They are James Arthur (Linda) Jennings, Donna Lee Jennings, Carol Lynn (Skip) Bicknese, Timothy Wayne (Dianne) Jennings, Bonny Lou (Adam) Squires, William Theodore (Lori) Jennings, April Leone (Dave) Halgren, and Bryan Paul (Nancy) Jennings. Saramae is the grandmother of 26 and has many great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, William; a granddaughter, Cheryl Ann Jennings; her brothers, Jim, Stan, and Don; and her sister, Susie. Saramae was a devoted member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and loved the Gospel of Jesus Christ. She taught school in the Payette, Idaho schools for many years and helped hundreds of children learn to read to be successful in learning. She touched the lives of many and was always willing to help anyway she could. We are grateful for her life and will miss her.
