December 11th, 1931 - February 13th, 2022
Saranne “Sara” Nuckolls Payne, 90, of Seminole, FL went to her eternal home on February 13, 2022. She was predeceased by her loving husband of over 60 years, Ralph L. Payne. She leaves behind her daughter, Elizabeth “Beth” Payne of Sarasota, FL; son, Michael (Mary) Payne of Bradenton, FL; granddaughter, Ashlie (Scott) McGlone and great-grandsons, Connor and Parker of Orlando, FL. Sara has one surviving sister, Norma (Olen) Quesenberry of Galax, VA along with many nieces and nephews. Sara was retired from the Department of Energy and prior to that, she was employed as a civilian with the Department of the Army, Fort Monroe, VA. She was an active member of Seminole First Baptist Church, Seminole, FL. A memorial service will be held on Friday, February 25, 2022 at 1pm at Seminole First Baptist Church, 11045 Park Blvd N, Seminole, FL 33772. Sara will be laid to rest with her husband, Ralph, at Bay Pines National Cemetery at a later date. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to Tidewell Hospice at https://tidewellfoundation.org/donate/ or to the Breast Cancer Research Foundation at https://www.bcrf.org/
