“Scott D. Ackerman, 39, of Thornton, Colorado passed away at his parent’s home on March 7, 2011 after a brief illness. He was born November 8, 1971 in Colorado Springs to Duane and Garnet Ackerman. He moved to Denver, Colorado with his parents in 1972. Scott was a humorous, fun loving, free spirited and good hearted person who loved his children and family. During his short life of 39 years he touched many people’s lives and souls. His memory will become a treasure more precious than gold to all who knew him. He was a loyal friend, a great brother and loving son. Scott is survived by his children, Derek age 11, Mallori age 9, Laci age 6, and his wife Kerri Ackerman of 11 years; his grandmother Mavis Ackerman; his parents Duane and Garnet Ackerman; sister Donna Farivar; sister Brenda Riblett and her husband Eric of Ft. Morgan; Troy Ackerman and his wife Kendra; and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his grandfather Deane Ackerman of Thornton, Colorado. A memorial fund for the family is set up at Chase Bank under the name of Kerri A. Ackerman.
