Edwards Memorial Funeral Homes - University Place
Scott W. Fraser
January 7th, 1956 - May 21st, 2006
Scott “Scodaddy” Fraser died tragically Saturday night at home. True to form, it was after an evening entertaining friends, showing off his garden and dog, great food, wine and cigars. Scott graduated from Charles Wright Academy in Tacoma, attended Franklin College in Lugano, Switz. before graduating from U. of Denver. Our dear Sco was a true Renaissance man. His interests and passions were many and varied. He loved sailing, especially on Moonglow with Dave Nielsen. His passion for golf didn’t hit until about 40, but it hit hard. Scott loved being anywhere in the sun. Upon trading high-rise living for a yard and a dog, his passion for gardening exploded. He spent many happy hours planting and replanting, proudly showing off his efforts to visitors. Scott also loved a party. He was the consummate host and loved having friends around. A stint at Cordon Bleu in Paris honed his culinary skills to the delight of all. He loved his red wine and the hunt for it. He and Susie managed to find wineries almost every place they traveled, although seldom did a bottle return home. Although not a Dawg, Scott was an avid Husky fan and wore his purple proudly. Scott tailgated in high style and his hummus will be sorely missed at dock parties. He is survived by his significant other of more than 8 years, Susie Ostrander, their Labrador Zeus, his parents Don and Kaye Fraser, sister Shelley and children, godchildren Kate and Megan Stedem and L.T. and Kelsey Murray, numerous aunts, uncles and cousins and a multitude of friends. Scott was a dear friend to many; the person who always stayed in touch. He would do anything for friends. As in life, he was generous in death as an organ donor. He touched so many lives and there is now a void in our hearts. Send remembrances to www.livinglegacyfoundation.org There will be a memorial service on Thursday, June 1 at 3pm at his home in Seattle, 10808 Marine View Dr. SW.
