"The most important thing to love the Lord, thy God, with all your heart, soul, and mind, and love your neighbor as thyself. Praise Jesus.”

**Obituary of Scott Gregory Simmons**

*An Inspirational Life Remembered*

Scott Gregory Simmons, born on June 18, 1948, in Phoenix, AZ, passed away peacefully on May 5, 2024, in the same city he called home. His life, spanning seventy-five years, was a testament to faith, love, and unwavering dedication to his family and community.

Scott’s journey began in his beloved Phoenix, where he attended Creighton Elementary School and North Phoenix High School. His passion for sports was evident early on as he played football and baseball, earning a football scholarship to Colorado State University. His academic and athletic pursuits laid the foundation for a life filled with achievements and adventures.

A graduate of Phoenix College and Colorado State University, Scott’s love for learning was rivaled only by his love for sports and his family. But perhaps his greatest accomplishment was founding and running his business, Lone Pine RV Repair. Through his entrepreneurial spirit, Scott not only provided for his family but also built a lasting legacy within the community.

Throughout his life, Scott was known for his strong views on religion and politics, always eager to engage in meaningful conversations about Jesus and the world around him. His faith was a cornerstone of his existence, guiding his actions and interactions with others.

An avid golfer and enthusiastic pickleball player, Scott found joy in the athletic pursuits that connected him to friends and family alike. He cherished moments spent watching all types of sports, playing cards, and reminiscing about his own days on the football and baseball fields. His love for the movies and good food was always a topic of fun conversation, as were his numerous stories from camping trips with his children, often the beach being a favorite destination.

Scott's pride and joy were his four children—Michela, Matthew, Melissa, and Mark—and his nine grandchildren. He delighted in watching his grandchildren grow, sharing his passions and wisdom, and being a constant source of love and support in their lives.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday June 1st from 9a-noon at the Bell Casa clubhouse 17426 N. 15th PL to honor Scott’s incredible journey. Friends and family will gather to share stories, laughter, and love, remembering a man who touched the lives of many with his unyielding faith, contagious enthusiasm, and deep love for those around him.

In these moments of remembrance, we find comfort in knowing that Scott Gregory Simmons’ spirit continues to inspire us. May his legacy of faith, family, and adventure be a guiding light for all who knew him.
