Angel Valley Funeral Home & Old Pueblo Crematory
Sean Patrick Bailey
September 29th, 1960 - June 3rd, 2024
It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Sean Bailey, who peacefully passed away surrounded by loved ones on June 3, 2024 after a 13-month battle with brain cancer. He was 63 years old.
Sean was born on September 29, 1960 in Denver but was predominately raised in Kirkland, Washington where he excelled on the high school swim team ultimately being named a High School All-American. He was offered a scholarship to the University of Arizona where he was a 4-year letterman on the swim team, a College All-American and even competed in the 1980 Olympic Trials.
He had grown to like the desert so much that after graduating from the University of Arizona he decided to make it his permanent home and eventually started a family and raised his two sons that he cared for and loved unconditionally.
Sean will be remembered for his wit, his selflessness, his hard work and drive to provide for his family and his knack for making nicknames that stick.
He is survived by his 2 sons, Cameron and Connor, his mother Janet, his 6 siblings Dan, Shannon, Vince, Erin, Anne and Joe. He is deeply missed by his family, friends and all those who knew him.
Please reach out to [email protected] for information about memorial service.
We are truly saddened by Sean’s passing, but he will forever be in our hearts and memories. Rest in Peace.
