Beers and Story - South Hadley
Sean F. Burke
July 1st, 1961 - March 3rd, 2020
Granby-Sean F. Burke, 58, passed away March 3, 2020 at his home with the love of his family surrounding him. Born July 1, 1961 in Holyoke, he was the son of Annette (Sevegny) and the late Edward J. Burke. Sean grew up in Granby and graduated from Granby High School. From January 8, 1980 to December 16, 1982, Sean proudly served his country in the US Army. For nearly 20 years, he worked for the Union Carpenters Local 336. Sean could often be found with a cigar in hand rooting on his Minnesota Vikings. Sean enjoyed archery, hunting and was an extremely hard worker. His greatest denotation was to his family. Besides his mother, his love will forever remain with his wife and best friend, Carrie (Seaha) along with his children, Shayne and Jeremy, all of Granby. In 2012, Sean's eldest son Joshua predeceased him. Sean will be long remembered by his siblings, George and his wife Kathy of Austin, TX, James and his wife Kelly of Granby, and Kenneth of Maryland along with grandchildren, Jaecob Harvey, Lillie Garrison, and Alahna Harvey and goddaughter Aylin Grae Lloyd-Dedischew . Sean's in-laws, Robert and Sally Lepage of Chicopee and Peter & MaryBeth Seaha of Aiken, SC will also treasure his memory. Visitation will be Monday March 9th from 4:00-7:00 p.m. at the Beers & Story South Hadley Funeral Home. Friends and family may meet Tuesday March 10th at Immaculate Heart of Mary Church in Granby for a 10:00 a.m. Funeral Mass. Military honors will conclude. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in his memory to either the American Cancer Society or Cancer Charity of choice.
