Segun Moses Okunrinboye

Segun Moses Okunrinboye, affectionately known as Uncle Shege, departed from this world on April 11th, 2024, at the age of 68. He is reunited with his beloved late wife, Yemi Okunrinboye, in eternal rest. Segun leaves behind a legacy of love and cherished memories, survived by his sons, Olakunle and Korede, his daughter, Funke, his grandson Christian, granddaughter Aubrey, his siblings, and a multitude of nieces, nephews, and cousins. Born on June 26, 1956, Segun's life was a tapestry woven with roles of a dedicated father, a proud grandfather, a loyal friend, and a brilliant engineer. He pursued his education with vigor, attending high school before earning his degree from the University of Enugu, Nigeria, and later achieving his PhD in Mechanical Engineering from George Washington University, Washington DC. Segun's entrepreneurial spirit led him to establish Hertworth Inc., where he served as the CEO. His company's mission of tackling complex global challenges with simple engineering solutions was a testament to his innovative mindset and determination to make a positive impact on the world. In addition to his professional pursuits, Segun found joy in the simple pleasures of life. Soccer was his passion, and he reveled in the camaraderie of the sport. He delighted in savoring his favorite dish of jollof rice, chicken, and boiled eggs, accompanied by a snack of peanuts with chocolate milk. Segun Moses Okunrinboye will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing him. Though he may have bid farewell to this earthly realm, his spirit lives on in the hearts of those he touched.
