Seth Robert Burton
April 29th, 1982 - June 7th, 2011
Seth was born on April 29, 1982 to John Burton and Jenny Hokenson in Tacoma, WA. He attended school at Gig Harbor High School, Pierce College, Washington State Univeristy and was a member of the Phi Kappa Sigma Fraternity. Seth worked as a Merchant Mariner and for Manson Engineering and Construction. Seth is survived by his father, John (Barbara) Burton; mother, Jenny (Roger) Hokenson; 3 brothers - Derek Torres, Christian Torres, James David Burton; sister - Maycee Escamilla; grandparents, Yvonne and Earl Atterton, Rose Ann and Peter Sr. Hokenson, John Burton Sr.; aunt - Leann (Robert) Bocanegra; step-dad, Duane Torres; step-sisters, Sarah and Bree Whinnery; uncles, Peter R. Hokenson Jr.; Dan (Robin) Hokenson; Nathan Hokenson; numerous extended family and friends; and his beloved four legged friends, Oso and Baily. Visitation will be held Monday, June 13, 2011 5:00 pm - 8:00 pm at Discovery Baptist Church, 4902 Gustafson Dr. NW, Gig Harbor, 98335. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, June 14, 2011, 11:00 AM at the Discovery Baptist Church. Interment will follow service at Cromwell Cemetery. Arrangements by Edwards Memorial Center, 253-566-1008.
