It is with great sadness to announce the passing of Shadia Hanna. Shadia, whom everyone endearingly referred to as “Big Momma” departed her loving family on October 8th, 2021. Shadia was born in Ramallah on June 6th, 1957 to Sabri and Hishma Akel. Shadia was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother. She always provided support and love for her family. She had a compassionate spirit whose passion was caring for others. She always put everyone’s needs before her own. She is survived by her loving husband Hanna; children Manal, Suad, Nihaya, Kim and Ibrahim; and grandchildren Davian, Malena, Jacob, Jensen, Joseph, Joshua and Ayvan. In addition to her husband and children she is survived by siblings Sami, Julia, Samia, Muntaha and Faten as well as her nephews and nieces who she adored. Visitation will be Wednesday, October 13th from 4-7pm with a prayer service at 5:30pm at Anderson McQueen Funeral Home, 2201 Dr. MLK Street North, Saint Petersburg FL followed by a funeral service on Thursday, October 14th at 10:45am at at Saint Nicholas Orthodox Church - 6447 76th Avenue North, Pinellas Park, FL and a committal service immediately after at Memorial Park Cemetery, 4900 54th Avenue North St. Petersburg, FL
