Sharon Lynn Farmer

September 12th, 1949 - December 6th, 2011

Sharon Lynn Farmer, 62, passed away peacefully in her home on Tuesday, Dec. 6, 2011 surrounded by family and friends. Sharon was born on September 12, 1949 in Bakersfield, California and moved to the Portland area in 1962 with her older brother Larry and parents, Leonard and Velva Button. In 1972 she married Donald Farmer and moved to Sandy, Oregon enjoying the country life and sharing many good times with family and friends. She and Donald later lived in Gresham and Eugene continuing to surround themselves with the family that Sharon loved so dearly. They returned to the Aloha area in 1995 after Donald retired. Sharon had worked in the auto industry for many years and after the move to Aloha she began working at Royal Moore in Hillsboro where she continued to work until October of this year. Sharon was vibrant and energetic with a smile that could light up a room. It didn’t occur to her not to put her all into everything she did… at work, in her home and in her loyalty and dedication to family and friends. Sharon is survived by her Uncle and Aunt, Gary and Nancy Brooks of Corvallis, OR, step-daughter Becky Grunest of Portland, sister-in-law Debbie Button of Hubbard, niece Sharon Walker of Woodburn, niece Amanda Edgecomb of Eugene and nephew Josh Martin of Gladstone. She is preceded in death by her parents Leonard and Velva Button, her brother Larry Button, her husband Donald Farmer and many aunts, uncles and cousins, all of whom she missed dearly, just as we will miss her now. A celebration of life will be held January 14th 2012 at 2pm at Maplewood Grange Hall 25480 S Hwy 99E Aurora, Or 97002. Arrangements by Autumn Funerals, Cremation & Burial, Tigard, Oregon.
