Sharon Kay Gorman (nee Schlechter) went to be with her Lord on July 9, 2023. She was born May 19, 1935. Sharon was predeceased by her beloved husband, Edgar T. Gorman, and is survived by her children, Mary (John) Klem, Michael (Lee) Gorman, and David (Leslie) Gorman; eight grandchildren; and four great grandchildren. Sharon loved her Lord, her husband of 65 years, and her family. Sharon grew up in Grand Forks, ND and was Salutatorian of her class. She continued on to the U of M, where she obtained a B.A. degree. After graduating, she and Ed were married August 14, 1957 in Grand Forks, ND, and eventually resided in the White Bear Lake, MN area. Sharon loved nature, from the Northwoods of Minnesota, to the beautiful Florida beaches, and passed that love onto her children and grandchildren. She and Ed loved to sing in the church choir, travel, spend time with family and friends, and helping people in various ways. She would always say “This is the day the Lord hath made, let us rejoice and be glad in it.”(Psalm 118:24) A Wake honoring her for close friends and family will be on Thursday July 13th, from 1-3pm, with an Affirmation of Love for Sharon at 2pm. This will be held at Community of Grace Lutheran Church in White Bear Lake, Mn in the Chapel. Interment at Fort Snelling will be at a later date.
