Sharon Kay Landers Aka Sherry Kay Summers
June 6th, 1953 - May 24th, 2015
Sharon Kay (Wageman) Landers, also known as Sherry Kay Summers, 61, of Caldwell, entered into rest, Sunday, May 24, 2015 after a yearlong battle with cancer. She was born June 6, 1953 in Nampa, ID to Melvin Wageman and Betty (Goutney) Wageman. Sherry owned and operated a daycare in Caldwell for 31 years. She was particularly fond of children, both her own and those of others. She was loved by all who knew her. She was a devoted mother and nana who lived for her family. Sherry worked hard to make sure her own kids and the children attending her daycare, were active in sports. She saw to it that they were active in BMX racing, T-ball, soccer, soft ball and swimming lessons and she was an avid sports spectator at their events. She had a heart of gold and was called “Mom” by many. She will be deeply missed. Sherry is survived by her father, Melvin Wageman of Caldwell; children, Dena Desaro of Caldwell, Tiana Landers of Caldwell, Christa (Dustin) Lopez of Emmett, Tad (Erin) Summers of Caldwell, and Shelby (Anthony) Martinez of Parma. She is also survived by her grandchildren, Austin, Chance, Jourdon, Noah, Jace, Ashtyn and Gracie, as well as 3 brothers, 5 sisters and numerous nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her mother, Betty (Goutney) Wageman and her sister, Wendy Mendenhall Miller. A Funeral Service for Sherry will be held on Friday, May 29, 2015 at 11:00 AM at Flahiff Funeral Chapel in Caldwell. Interment will follow at Hillcrest Memorial Gardens, Caldwell.
