Sharon Ruszecki Sharon Lynn Lapp Ruszecki, 56, wife of Richard Stanley Ruszecki, Sr., resident of West Columbia, passed away on September 23, 2019 at Lexington Medical Center. Born October 29, 1962 in Pittsburgh, PA, she was a daughter of the late Robert Emmitt Lapp, Sr. and Dorothy Marie Thoma. She was employed with Sam’s Club for many years. She was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother with her greatest joy being spending time with her family. She had the biggest heart and would do anything for anyone. In addition to her husband of 33 years she is survived by two daughters, Ashley Lynn Ruszecki (partner Jeremiah Oliver) and Amanda Marie Ruszecki both of Lexington; a son, Richard Stanley Ruszecki, Jr. of West Columbia; three sisters, Dorothy Ann Stollar, Mary Ostermeyer and Kathy Tichner all of Pittsburgh, PA; two brothers, Edward Lapp of Pittsburgh, PA and Norbert Lapp of Gaston; five grandchildren, Madison Marie Rogers, Landon Eric Rogers, Nathan Kyle Oliver, Mason Lee Ruszecki and Natalie Fay Oliver. She also had a number of nieces, nephews and cousins. She was predeceased by her parents and a brother, Robert Emmitt Lapp, Jr. Funeral Services will be conducted 2 PM, Saturday, September 28th, from the Thompson Funeral Home Lexington Chapel with Rev. Ray Wrobel officiating. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 1 to 2 PM prior to the service. Burial at Fort Jackson National Cemetery will take place at a later date. The family requests that those wishing to make memorials do so to St. Jude Children’s Hospital, www.stjude.org. Thompson Funeral Home of Lexington is assisting the Ruszecki family.
