Sheila A. Thomas (Fitzpatrick), wife of Wilfred C. Thomas of Rockledge, Fl. passed away in the hospital on Sunday, July 8, 2018 at the age of 74. She was the daughter of the late William and Simone (Trottier) Fitzpatrick. Besides her husband, she is survived by her sister Kathleen and her husband Joseph Banas, daughter Kathleen Mary Essington and her Husband Kevin, sons Thomas Bridgehouse and his wife Melissa, Michael Bridgehouse and his wife Stephanie, step children William Thomas and his wife Nicole, Barbara Walker and her husband Jerry, Christopher Thomas, grandchildren Emily and Jack Wainright, Scott, Tyler, and Ethan Bridgehouse, nephew William Banas, Niece and God Child Judith Poirier, Niece Barbara Adams, and Niece Karen Banas. Sheila was born in 1944 in Central Falls, RI and as a teen worked as a candy striper in the local hospital. In 1970, she and her first husband, the late Scott Bridgehouse, moved to Lancaster, Pa where she became employed as a bank teller and later on as a case worker for the WIC Organization. In 1977 she moved to NJ and secured a position as a Property Manager for a Condominium Association in Cherry Hill. In 1983 she and Wilfred were married and they moved to Ocean City, NJ. She secured a position as Executive Assistant to the Facilities Director of Resorts International Hotel and Casino, and from there became the Administrative Assistant to the Facilities Director of the Trump Organization in Atlantic City. She was a member of the LADIES Auxiliary of the Knights of Columbus # 6125. Sheila was a loving wife and mother who loved to read, cook and bake, and was very interested in politics. All who knew her considered her to be a very warm and friendly person with a great sense of humor and someone that loved to laugh. She will be missed by all. . A Mass of the Resurrection will be held at 11:00 A.M., July 23, 2018, at Divine Mercy Catholic Church, 190 North Courtenay Parkway, Merritt Island, Florida. A celebration of Sheila's life will be held at the C. Spellman Knight of Columbus Hall at 3435 South Fiske Boulevard, Rockledge, Florida following the Mass and everyone is invited to attend. In lieu of flowers Gifts to the Pro Life Organization, checks should be made to Knights of Columbus for Laps for Life and mailed to the attention of Don Holtzener, P.O.
