Shelby A. Green, Jr. January 20, 1944-December 02,2016 “Diver down 10 foot stop” Chief Petty Officer, Diver, USN (Ret.) Shelby Andrews Green, Jr., 72, of Hanahan, SC, died Friday evening at St. Francis Hospital. The service will be 11:00am Saturday, December 10, 2016, at the Naval Weapons Station, All Saints Chapel. Friends may call at the Chapel from 10:00am until the hour of service. Shelby was born January 20, 1944 in Akron Ohio. A son of Shelby A. Green, Sr. and Elma Pogue Green. Shelby was preceded in death by his parents, Sisters, Margaret Lyles, Mary Ann Brooks, brothers, Donald Green, Wayne Green and granddaughter Megan Bracken. Surviving are his son Michael A. Green ( Tina Green) of Hanahan, SC, his daughter Robin Bracken ( John Bracken) of Ridgecrest, CA. His Grandchildren, Ryan A. Green of Gulfport, MS, Jack Bracken of Ridgecrest, CA, Melissa King of Ridgecrest, CA, Jane Bracken of Ridgecrest, CA and 10 great grandchildren. In lieu of flowers donations in his memory may be made to the Charleston Animal Society.
