"A private memorial gathering will be held for Shelly Birnbaum on Sunday, March 8, 2020 in Oyster Bay, NY. Shelly passed away at her home in Indian Harbour Beach, FL one year ago on March 10, 2019 from an accidental overdose. Shelly suffered from substance abuse addiction for most of her life. Born on October 20, 1956 in the Bronx, Shelly grew up in Queens, NY and relocated to the Satellite Beach area of Florida in the 1990’s. In healthier times of her life, Shelly enjoyed a long and successful career in NYC in carpet sales/cleaning. Upon moving to Florida, Shelly received her aesthetician license and enjoyed a short career owning her own skin salon. Much of the time, Shelly was the life of the party, and was a good friend to many. She especially enjoyed raising 2 cats and several dogs. Her quick witted spirit will be missed by many.”
