Shingara Singh Nat
January 21st, 1958 - December 7th, 2015
Today we want to share with you the story of our father, Shingara Singh Nat. It is unfortunate that his story is only being told at the end of his life, as his story should be rejoiced. Shingara Singh Nat, the second child to Mohinder Singh Nat and Gurmeet Kaur Nat, was born in India on January 21, 1958. He grew up in Ballowal, Punjab with his brothers: Jagtar Singh and Santokh Singh, and his sister Jagdish Kaur. Our father moved to the United States in 1985 with his wife Balwinder Kaur and their young son Rajinder Singh Nat. Two short years later they had their second son Manpreet Singh Nat. Our dad was the hardest worker we ever knew. He would wake up early in the morning and not return until later that night. He instilled in his sons a strong work ethic and to love and praise our beloved Waheguru Ji. His most precious gifts in life were his granddaughter: Ashleen, Jasleen and Zoya. He wished for his granddaughters a life full of love and success and would provide for them anything they wished. His fatherly and grandfatherly advice will be remembered for always. His warm smile and kind heart will be missed by all that knew him. He passed away at his home early Monday morning, December 7, 2015. He is survived by his two brothers, Jagtar and Santokh; his sister Jagdish; his wife Balwinder; his sons Rajinder and Manpreet; his daughters-in-law Kuljinder and Amita and his granddaughters Ashleen, Jasleen and Zoya. Please join us Sunday, December 13, 2015 at 11 am at Ullrey Memorial Chapel, 817 Almond St., Yuba City.
