Shirley I. Cain 80 of St. Petersburg passed away September 18, 2013 at home with her loving family after a courageous fight with leukemia. She was born October 22, 1932 to Henry Sievers and Kathleen Angus Sievers in Johnstown PA, both also with the angels. She moved to St. Petersburg in 1972 and never wanted to leave. Predeceased by James N. Cain and daughter Cathy Cain. Shirley loved spending time with her family down in the country. She enjoyed watching football and especially baseball. She worked hard all her life, and just permanently retired when she got ill. Shirley is survived by her daughter Gayle (Danny) Young; son James (Debra) Cain; grandson Ryan; brother Robert (Jane) Sievers; nephew Robert Sievers Jr. and family; niece Sharon Entrekin and family; brother Henry (Shirley) Sievers Jr.; niece Sue Ellen and family and former mother in-law Aretta Smith. She really loved cats and had many through the years. We will miss her smile and crazy old-school ways of doing things. Memorial services will be 11AM Saturday, September 28, 2013 at David C. Gross Funeral Home in St. Petersburg, where the family will receive friends from 10AM through service time. David C. Gross Funeral Homes, Central Avenue Chapel in St. Petersburg is serving the family. Service Information
