Shirley M. Gibbs

Shirley M. Gibbs, 89 of Odessa, Florida passed away October 20, 2020. She was born in Cincinnati, Ohio and moved to Odessa in 1986 from there. She loved gardening, golf, swimming and especially shopping. The love of her life was her family and she was a wonderful mom and grandmother. Shirley is survived by her sons, Michael (barb) Gibbs, Don E. Gibbs; her daughters, Lynn Schmitz and Lori (Eddie) Russell and her brother-in-law, Bill Gibbs. Also surviving are her precious grandchildren, Matt Schmitz, Allison (Andrew) Summerour, Julie (Rodrigo) Pereyra, Holly (Matt) Gavin, Nicole (Michael) Howe, Kelly (Michael) Rothman, Racheal Gibbs, Cassandra Gibbs, Everett Gibbs and Adalene Gibbs and 15 great-grandchildren. A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered on Tuesday, October 27 at 11 o’clock am at St. Timothy Catholic Church 17512 Lakeshore Road, Lutz, Florida 33558 with burial to follow at Florida National Cemetery at 2 o’clock pm where she will be laid to rest with her husband, Donald who predeceased her in 2015. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to LifePath Hospice at http://www.lifepath-hospice.org. The family has entrusted care and services to Loyless Funeral Home.
