Shirley Joanne Herron

Shirley Joanne Herron, 86, passed away on Thursday, May 4, 2023. Shirley was born January 10, 1937, in Elmira, New York. Shirley grew up in the Elmira/Horseheads area until meeting her late husband, Jack, in Palmetto, Florida, in 1973. They married in 1974 and had their only child, Michael, in 1975. She was a bookkeeper for Sears for almost 20 years in New York before working for Century 21 for several years in Florida. She moved to the Charleston/Summerville area with her son, daughter-in-law, and grandkids after Jack passed away in February 2013. Shirley is survived by her brother, Robert Lloyd, son, Michael, daughter-in-law, Heidi, grandsons, Alex and Stephen and honorary grandsons, Tyler Buchanan and Matt Osean. She is predeceased by her parents, William and Katherine Lloyd, sister, Sandi Sullivan, husband, Jack, and granddaughter, Kailey.
