Born in Barnard, VT on December 16, 1937, she was the daughter of the late Lee N. and Vera E. (Powell) Pearsons. Shirley has lived in Ware since 1985 and previously resided in Wilbraham. She graduated from Vesper George School of Art in Boston. Besides being an artist, Shirley was also an Arabian horse breeder on her farm, Sand Spirit Arabians, in Ware. In her leisure, she enjoyed her dogs, gardening and spending time with her horses.
