Shirley M. Johnson Of Waukesha, passed away on Sunday, June 5, 2011, lovingly surrounded by her family at Care Age of Brookfield at the age of 84 years. She was born on October 24, 1926, in Laona, WI, the daughter of Raymond and Emma Brooks. Shirley married the love of her life, Lynn G. Johnson on January 10, 1948 in Rhinelander, WI. They moved to Waukesha in 1952. She was a past member of First Presbyterian Church in Waukesha. As a young woman she attended a business school in Milwaukee; which started her administrative assistant career at area businesses. Shirley worked at Waukesha State Bank for many years until her retirement. She enjoyed sewing, bowling, cooking cookies and breads, and was an avid reader. Shirley will be sadly missed by her children, Georgia (John) Stapleton of Shawano, WI and Brian (Kris) Johnson of Pewaukee, WI; her grandchildren, Katy (Steve) McHugh, MaryBeth Stapleton, Megan (Dan) Ryan, Morgan Johnson and Autumn Johnson; her great grandchildren, Jackson Ryan, Claire and Cole McHugh and Ty Stapleton-Heise. She is further survived by a brother Lawrence Brooks of McColl, SC; nieces, nephews, great- nieces & nephews, other relatives and friends. She is preceded in death by her parents; husband Lynn; brother, Laverne Brooks and sister, Donna Dumke. Visitation will be held from 10:00 a.m. until the 11:00 a.m. memorial service, Saturday, June11, 2011 at Cesarz, Charapata & Zinnecker Funeral Home, 237 N. Moreland Blvd. Waukesha, WI 53188. Private family burial will be at Prairie Home Cemetery. th In lieu of flowers, memorials to Alzheimer's Association Southeastern WI Chapter, 620 S. 76 St., Ste 160, Milwaukee, WI 53214 Appreciated. Shirley's family would like to thank the caring staff of Care Age of Brookfield for their help and support during Shirley's stay.
