Shirley J. McDonald, 86, of Thornton Colorado, passed on March 6, 2015. She was a beloved daughter, treasured sister, loving Mom, Grandma, Great-Grandma, and sweetheart and soul mate to her husband of 56 years. She was a member of the VFW Women’s Auxiliary at John F Stewart Post #1 since she was 16 years old. She was preceded in death by; her parents,T. Logan and May C. Waggoner, her brothers, George Waggoner and Bart Waggoner, and her husband, Chester L. McDonald. She is survived by her son, Fred McDonald, daughters June Hutton, Debra McDonald, and Tina McDonald, and her grandchildren Killian Grant, John Pembleton, and Abby Hutton, and her great grandchildren Elliot Grant, Leah and Maddie Favre, and numerous nephews, nieces, grand nephews, grand nieces, and many good friends. Funeral mass will be held Monday, March 16th at 12 noon at Holy Cross Catholic Church at 9371 Wigham Street in Thornton, Colorado. Please join us for lunch at the church following mass. Flowers may be sent directly to the church. Donations may be made to Holy Cross Catholic Church.
